Angela Alexander-Bryant, PhD

Dr. Angela Alexander-Bryant received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in materials science & engineering from Johns Hopkins University.  She completed her Ph.D. in the Clemson-MUSC Joint Bioengineering Program in 2015.  She has received many honors and awards, including the Gates Millennium Scholarship, honorary student membership in the National Academy of Inventors, and a Minority Scholar in Cancer Research Award from the American Association for Cancer Research.  Dr. Alexander-Bryant has been an assistant professor in the Bioengineering Department at Clemson University since Fall 2017 where she is the PI of the Nanobiotechnology Laboratory. Her research focuses on developing drug delivery strategies for treating aggressive and/or drug-resistant cancers using RNA interference and chemotherapy.
