As part of the 2021 Society of Postdoctoral Scholars Popular Science Writing CompetitionStephen Wrentmore will provide a training session for participant to extract key storytelling elements from a published research paper to build a narrative compelling for a broader audience.

Stephen Wrentmore

Stephen Wrentmore is an award winning British theatre director, dramaturg, producer, writer, academic, curator, and change consultant. He currently works at the University of Kentucky in the College of Fine Arts.

Stephen studied at the University of Cambridge, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and Oklahoma City University . He was visiting academic at the University of Oxford in 2009 and is a Fellow of the Clore Leadership Programme.

He was Artistic Producer at Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts until 2018. Formally, he was Associate Artistic Director of Arizona Theatre Company, Artistic Director of the Byre Theatre, St Andrews, and has worked at The National Theatre in London, Tate Gallery, and internationally in theatres from Siberia to San Francisco.
